Oh hello! I am Kristen; I am wife, mama of two sweet girls and one funky pug. My husband is a nurse, and I also work as a high school English teacher when I’m not photographing families across Massachusetts. I’m so happy you’re here, and I can’t wait to capture special memories for you. In my English class, I teach my students about the power of imagery in writing: the use of words that intentionally evokes the five senses and establishes a sense of time and place. I seek to do the same with my photography, as photos are simply a form of visual storytelling! I want to capture images that take you back to that moment, that memory, and all the emotions that come along with it.

My interest in photography began seriously in 2016 when my first daughter was born, which was when I truly understood the value of professional photography. I didn't get engagement session done before my wedding, didn't invest much in our wedding pictures, and didn't bother with maternity pictures.
I learned through photographing my new baby, spending those long newborn days learning about my camera, and investing in professional development. Since then, I've built my clientele and business, and today I am working to serve families on the North Shore of Boston, and I truly LOVE doing providing this service. It is so exciting to send off a finished gallery to you, and I can't honestly can't wait for you to see your pictures and share them with your friends and family.

I want to build your confidence so you know you'll look good. I'll let you know if your hair needs adjusting, or if a pose looks isn't working and looks weird. But I'll also tell you when you are looking great, guide you into an awesome pose, and show you the back of the camera!
My wedding pictures (the only professional photos I had done before) feel stiff and posed, and we were hyper-aware of being photographed that it was hard to be in the moment, and I was worried about how I looked. Now that I am behind the lens, I understand the benefit in providing guidance both in planning for the session, and in what to do during the session!
I believe in images that are true-to-life, so that you can recall the emotions and memories of your family's most precious milestones. That's why I capture families as their authentic selves and not in awkward or forced poses. I specialize in capturing candid moments, while still guiding you in a way that brings out those naturally candid moments.
