Serving North Shore, MA

We can reschedule - New England is rough.

What about weather and rescheduling?

Don't hesitate to get your hair or make-up done - one less thing for YOU to worry about. Need help with outfit planning? I'm here to help! Send me your questions, potential outfit choices, and ideas, I'd love to give you some guidance if you'd like it.

If you have kids coming along, bring small favorite toys or snacks, if you think it could help! You know your kids best - if they need a break or some time to shake the sillies out during the session, don't hesitate to let me know! However, if you're bringing toys, consider the fact that they might not want to let them go for the pictures. Sometimes, it's better to save them for the end.

How should I prepare for the shoot?

Early morning or late afternoon/early evening (about an hour before sunset) will have the most beautiful light for your portraits!

When is the best time to schedule a session?

I want you to wear something that reflects you, and your personal style. Consider dressing "fancier" than your every day clothes! For timeless photos that you'll enjoy for years, aim for neutral colors and patterns. The last thing you want is to look at a picture twenty years from now and only see your outfit! With family sessions, try to have the colors everyone wears complement each other, rather than be too matchy-matchy. When in doubt, send me pics of what you're thinking about and I can help you!

What should we wear?

frequently asked questions

After all, our phones all take pictures. And they're great and perfect for everyday!

However, your family will grow-up and change so fast. Moments are fleeting. Nothing made more more aware of the passage of time than having two children! I found myself behind the camera more often than in front of it.

Professional photos give you the push to get in front of the camera, and preserve those memories, and not worry about who's going to be taking the picture.

Do I *really* need professional photos?

Consider bringing a seasonal bouquet of flowers to your session, or a neutral blanket! Got a vintage bike? Cool! Let's use it. If you've got a vision, let me know, and let's see how we can make it happen.

What about props?

I use canon camera body and lenses.

What gear do you use?

I seek to capture the emotion and joy with you and your family. I consider myself to be a people-centered photographer, and I will use natural light and coloring when shooting and editing.
